This event is open to all students who have submitted a poster abstract and been notified of its acceptance. Once your abstract has been reviewed and accepted, you will receive an email with information on how to register online. You are advised to read the following information and our terms and conditions prior to registering.

The registration fee is inclusive of refreshments, lunch and dinner on all days, and all event material. Please indicate your attendance for the dinners when registering.  

Accommodation is not included within the registration fee and must be prebooked separately.  Accommodation is available at the halls of residence at Homerton College for £81.90 per night per single en-suite room on a bed and breakfast basis. Cancellation and refund policy

The Institute operates a cancellation policy as follows. All cancellations must be made in writing.  Full details can be found in our terms and conditions which are available online at Please make sure you have read and understand the T&Cs before registering for the conference. Submission of a registration is regarded as a firm booking (subject to availability) and acceptance of these terms and conditions.

If the written cancellation is received by the Institute:

  • By 4 March 2016, a full credit/refund will be issued
  • Between 5-17 March 2016, a full credit/refund minus a 20% administrative charge will be issued
  • From 18 March 2016, or you do not attend the event, no refund will be issued.

Payment of fees

In order to ensure that it complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard ("PCI DSS") and for the protection of its members and others, the Institute of Physics will only accept credit and/or debit card payments online through RBS WorldPay secure payment server. All payments must arrive by 18 March 2016. After that day, all unpaid registrations will be cancelled.
